Even though January is the coldest month in Los Cabos, the temperature is about 75° F! The water temperature is cooler though, which makes it the perfect time to see whales. We visited Los Cabos in January and had an amazing time. We stayed at Esperanza, which has the only private beach in Los Cabos. The beach is not swimmable as it is very rocky (as shown in the photo above), however there are several pools. We preferred the adults-only pool with the infinity edge and stunning views (shown below).
Also, our casita had a plunge pool on the balcony, so there are lots of places to dip your toes in the water. The balcony was also a good place to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery.
I loved our casita and the resort, so I could have stay there the entire time. However, we did venture out of the resort for a sail and snorkel tour. We sailed past the Arch and Lover’s Beach while enjoying a cocktail and snacks. Then we continued our trip, passing whales, and made our way to a protected cove. In the cove, we snorkeled and I attempted paddle boarding for the first time. While the water was a little cool, we soon warmed up in the sun. Then we had a relaxing sail back to port.
Los Cabos has excellent restaurants with amazing views! We also enjoyed the Virtuoso amenities (daily breakfast for two and $100 resort credit) at Esperanza.
