St. Kitts is an eastern Caribbean island, southeast of Puerto Rico. It is a beautiful island and a perfect place to wind down and relax. We recommend staying at the luxurious and secluded Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Read on for our review to know why you should stay here during your visit!
1. Location
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts is located on the southeast end of the island of St. Kitts. It feels secluded and as if you are on your own private island. However, there are restaurants and bars tucked away on nearby bays. It is about 30 minutes from the international airport and the main city of Basseterre. It is also a short boat ride (about 15 minutes) to Nevis. Everywhere on the resort features views of the beautiful Nevis island to the south. The hotel is located on a hill but it is very easy to walk around or be driven around on a golf cart.
2. Fun activities and pools
Park Hyatt St. Kitts offers many activities at the resort, such as snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, destination dining, rum tasting, yoga, fitness classes, etc. There is also a kids club (Camp Hyatt) for children age 3 to 12 where they can participate in activities like scavenger hunts, bird watching, and crafts. When you check-in you are handed a weekly schedule highlighting the different activities available. There is something for everyone depending on how active you like to be on your vacation.
There are two pools: the lagoon pool and rampart pool. The lagoon pool is family-friendly and has a sandy zero-entry side perfect for little kids to play. The rampart pool is adults-only and located further up the hill with amazing views of the ocean.
3. Luxurious accommodations
The rooms are large, light, and airy. They have a relaxing and calming beach vibe. They are open-planned with a deep soaking tub and rain shower. If you want more privacy while in the bathroom there are sliding doors. The room shown below is a Sea View King with amazing views of Nevis from the balcony. We recommend this room type as it was on the second floor and feels more private than the beachside rooms on the first floor. If you would like more space there are suites with large living areas and some even have a plunge pool.
4. Get pampered at the spa
Miraval Spa St. Kitts is relaxing, peaceful, and tranquil. They offer many treatments such as body renewal rituals, facial treatments, hair & nail salon, and activities like yoga. Additionally, they have a sauna, steam room, plunge pool, and outdoor showers.
I had a massage here and it was one of the best I have ever had. When you check-in at the spa, they customize the massage based on what element you are attracted to that day. The massage rooms are very private and secluded. They each have their own little garden and shower room. I felt very relaxed and did not want my massage to end!
5. Gourmet dining
St. Kitts Park Hyatt offers 3 restaurants plus pool/beachside snacks. The Great House restaurant serves food all day international cuisine and is family-friendly. We had our breakfasts here. It includes so much choice (2 rooms and an omelet station) and is all delicious.
The Stone Barn restaurant is adult-only and serves dinner from the hearth using traditional ingredients that is great for sharing.
The third restaurant is the Fisherman’s Village. It is open for lunch and dinner and serves island-inspired foods and freshly caught seafood.
